Hi! I’m Chelsea and I was born and raised in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. I love sushi, Starbucks, and anime! I graduated from the University of Hawaii Manoa with a bachelor’s degree in Second Language Studies. I have been teaching English since 2016. My goal is to help students have fun with English!

How’s it going! My name is Julian, and I have been teaching English since 2018. I also tutored students in history and English while I was in high school (2009-2013). I play guitar and sing as a hobby, and write music to pass the time.
My method of teaching is through activities and singing, to keep the mind busy and your energy high and focused .

Hello! I’m Evyn and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I’ve been in Japan since March of 2022. I’m currently a full-time Japanese language student and work at Knock Knock English. I have a degree in Journalism-Public relations and I am planning on getting my master’s degree in Education next year, here in Tokyo.

When I was younger, I was in the US Army and also worked on an ambulance as an Emergency Medical Technician. I really love Japan and feel a sense of accomplishment from being able to teach Japanese people English.

I have many hobbies and likes but I especially love baseball, pizza and photography. Nice to meet you!

I love working with young children, and gained a qualification and 6 years of experience in early childhood education in England before moving to Japan. I've been teaching English to Japanese kindergarteners for over 8 years and it's still such a joy to interact with them each day.

During classes I get a feel for each child's interests and level of ability, and try my best to continue to develop their skills with fun activities and games, and at playtime I always join in!

In my free time I love going to live music shows, reading books and comics, cooking (and eating!) and video games.

I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, and have been learning languages all my life. I grew up speaking Spanish at home but have used English and French in school since the first grade! I earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a focus on foreign languages in the U.S.A.

I love teaching languages because I can relate to my students’ struggles when learning a new language, and can hopefully help them confidently use their new language skills.

In my free time, I love walking around the city with my husband, reading a book, and spending time at cafes and museums.

Hello! I'm Jelen, and I started teaching in 2017 at a Japanese university in Choshi, Chiba. I've taught students of all ages, from elementary school to the elderly. I've spent the most time teaching high school students - roughly 4 years - but I love teaching students of all ages! It brings me joy when I get to see the moment a student understands something they previously didn't. I love cooking, singing, and having fun in general!

日々生徒さんたちと接するなかで、生徒さん同士がうまく関係を築けているかを見ながら保育にあたっています。なかなか自分からお友達の輪に入れない生徒さんや、自分から発言できなくて困っている生徒さんへはこまめに声をかけながら、その生徒さんは何を課題としていてどういった角度から見守る必要があるのかを考えるようにしています。

私はオーストラリアに短期留学をし、その後1年間、アメリカに留学しましたが、留学先で様々な国の人たちと触れ合ったことで自分自身を改めて知ることができ、とてもいい経験ができたと思っています。知らない土地に行くと、新たな発見ができるのと同時に日本の良さを改めて知ることができます。また、英語が話せることで、視野が広がり自信がつくと思います！

私の時代は、ネットで調べるなんてそれはまるでドラえもんの世界でしたから（笑）自分で辞書をひき、ペンパル（死語ですかねぇ）を作り、また私の家からは横田基地が近かったので、ここでアメリカ人家庭で英語を教えてもらったりしていました。今のお子様たちもパソコンやスマホで調べるだけでなく、興味を持って行動を起こしてもらえたらよりいっそう身についていくのではないかと思っています。
